The
organizing committee are now planning the 51st White Rose Festival
of
Scottish Country Dancing Date: Saturday, 16th July 2005 Venue: Leeds Grammar School, Harrogate Road, Leeds LS17 8GS. (www.leedsgrammar.com) This school has been recently built and has excellent facilities. It is in a rural setting on the northern outskirts of the city and is easily accessible from all directions using the motorway network. Saturday, 16th July, 14.00-17.00 There will be massed open air dancing for adult and children’s teams, opportunities for demonstrations of pre-selected dances and ladies’ and men’s highland displays. Dancing will be to George Meikle and the Lothian Band with piping from Alan Harrison. Saturday, 16th July, 19.00-22.30 There will be a social dance to George Meikle and the Lothian Band in the Sports Hall at Leeds Grammar School. Admission is by ticket only. Please note that because of the size of the hall it will not be possible to give ‘recaps’. The organizing committee hopes very much that you will be able to join us.
